Weekly Focus Groups for Youth
Our young people want to know how God is relevant in their lives. They want to be heard and feel understood.
The focus group model allows students to build relationships and trust with their peers and leaders, and to open themselves up to the Word of God where they can find everything they are looking for in Him.
Weekly Focus Groups for both SOAR (High School Students) and RISE (Middle School Students in grades 7th & 8th) are led by vibrant, faithful leaders and meet regularly in The Nest.
Groups will meet each week, enjoy time together, and participate in faith-based discussions/activities.
We strive to meet each student where they are and help them grow closer in their relationship with God. Find a group that is right for you today! -
What Studies will the students be using?
SOAR High School meetings feature a variety of materials and content, including things like Sunday scripture readings, Father Mike Schmidtz videos, and "Ask Father" sessions where Father Auletta visits the group to answer students' questions.
RISE 8th Grade Girls: Blaze Belong - a study written specifically for Middle School Girls by Walking with Purpose.
RISE 8th Grade Boys: Ignite Year 2 - similar content to the Blaze study and written by one of St. Joe's very own parishioners.

SOAR High School Group
- Meets Sunday evenings from 5 pm to 7:30 pm in the Nest
- Begins meeting September 29th
- For grades 9th -12th
- Meets Thursdays in the NEST from 5:45 pm to 7 pm
- Fall Session begins September 26th
- Register by September 11th
RISE - 7th Grade Boys- Meets Thursdays in the NEST from 4:30 pm to 5:45 pm
- Fall Session begins September 26th

REGISTRATION FEE for FOCUS GROUPS:
FOR RISE MIDDLE SCHOOL GROUPS: $25 per student for each 10-week session to offset the cost of materials and to provide a stipend for our amazing focus group leaders
FOR SOAR HIGH SCHOOL GROUP: $50 per student for the school year to offset the cost of materials and to provide a stipend for our amazing focus group leaders
